As predicted, I did not have time to get writing done this morning. I had to run to the store and get milk, then a call at 7:30 and another at 8 for work, so just no time. That said, I did get the pleasure of looking forward to writing all day. I’ve been enjoying writing so much, that it really was a pleasure!
Today’s prompt is about taking an adventure, but the image along with it was a cruise ship in the open ocean, so I just took the logical step of making it an ocean adventure. I enjoyed the first two sprints well enough, but I was starting to feel tired by the third, so I wanted to just finish up – which meant I didn’t feel like I was writing as well. Still, it is a salvageable story, if I get back to it. For now, it can sit on the shelf though.
I did get some energy in my stream tonight – a raid from Angsthase, and visitors beyond that as well. Three sprints, 20-minutes each and a story that ended up just shy of 3000 words (and I added the rest after shutting down the stream). That’s 73 days straight of hitting my goals. Not sure I’ll always be watching the count, but I’m happy about it every time I do.
I’ve been thinking as well about doing a talk for Writer’s CONduit, either as a presenter or as a panelist, or both. We’ll see how it shakes out in the next couple of weeks while I get my thoughts organized.
I hope you all have a good night writing. I’ll be back at it in the morning – 7am.
