Monthly Check-in… I mean Camp NaNoWriMo

So clearly the monthly check-in didn’t happen after January. My brother was helpful to point that out for me because I so very clearly missed it 🙂

Life gets busy and it is very easy not to make the time for writing. I am glad that I make the time each November, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to write more. So in a month where I have a huge number of things to do, I’ve decided to take another crack at running with the Camp NaNoWriMo crowd. I did this a couple of years ago and was not mentally set for it and I wasn’t accustomed to the change of pace with it. And I just didn’t do it.

This time around, I have a couple of stories in mind and I’m going in planning on only putting about 15k to the page and see what I come up with. I thought about putting together an outline for the stories, but I haven’t gotten to them, so I guess I’ll just wing it.

Last time I did this, I quite enjoyed my “letters from camp” series, so I’ll probably try something similar. We’ll see if I make time for blog posts though – no guarantees.

Anyway, so have a good time in July everyone. If you are writing, write well and write often.

    Go, Dave, GO!

  2. You can totally do it! My goal is 15k as well! But I am hoping to write the end of my first ever Camp novel… we shall see how it goes…
