India Trip – Flight out

Recently, I was given an amazing opportunity for work to head out to see the office in Hyderabad, India and meet not only my team of writers out there, but also to meet so many people who I have only interacted with virtually or on the phone.

The next few posts will be about that trip. I’m already safely back at home, but I’m going to write it as if I was still there since the bulk of the text in these posts were written while I was there – I just didn’t have time to actually make a post.

Sunday (20 April 2014), 5:20pm, Boston Logan Airport

The terminal is fairly empty from my experience, where finding a seat is difficult as the flight comes close. Of course, I have just under 2 hours to wait, so maybe this is just the calm before the storm.

I have under three hours between flights in New York, and since I am not terribly hungry right now, I’m choosing to wait and risk getting food when I get to New York rather than right now.

While I am waiting, I took a look at the weather for the week I’ll be in India. Highs no lower than 102 (and up to 109) and Lows no lower than 76. Why did I pack a jacket? In case my clothes burn off my body I suppose.

Waiting is annoying, but a necessary evil at this point. My stomach is not in knots, but isn’t exactly settled either; I’m nervous about my flight. I’ve never flown this far before, I’ve never really flown alone for that matter.

So many of the people around me are plugged in. Makes me want to turn this off and just people watch for a while. I just want to take off already…
