Progress

Since it is quite hot and humid outside and I don’t have my kids this weekend, I’ve decided to attempt at making the most of the situation. Normally, this would be a beach day or at least climbing over some rocks if they were around. Since they’re not, I’m spending most of the day inside since I don’t particularly need to be outside and sweating.

I started off the day with a bike ride up and down the Milford section of the Upper Charles River Rail Trail. I found I was a little sore from yesterday’s ride, but not so bad that I didn’t want to ride. In addition, the other day, I decided to sign up for a couple of the “challenges” on the MapMyRide site. I don’t need a whole lot of incentive to ride each day, but if I have a chance at some prizes without having to do much more than I already am, well that’s just a nice bonus. I’m not expecting anything out of it, but if I do it certainly won’t hurt.

I also managed to set down and work on Jacoby Figurine today. I have one last chapter to rewrite and another chapter that I want to add. The chapter is about 5000 words as it stands, so I’m somewhere in the 10-15% range of being done with this rewrite finally. I’d like to get it finished and then read it from beginning to end, since I really haven’t done that in two years. Hopefully it will be in a much better state than that initial read through because I would really like to call this one done.
