Life and Writing

I’m still here. I forgot what this month was going to be like when I decided I would finish Jacoby Figurine. Of course, the same could be said of plenty of other months, so it really isn’t much of an excuse.

That said, I did get some more work done today and for that I am thankful. I only managed about 1000 words towards my goal of finishing, which leaves me in the 6-7000 range of work left to be done on this draft. It will still need so much work once I’m done, but I think it will be a good plan to set it aside in April to work on something else. I am looking forward to Camp NaNoWriMo and really want to start thinking about what I am going to write for it.

Like I said, there has been plenty of things to keep me busy these days. In addition to rogue snow storms and bitter battles of epic proportions with frozen water, work has been extraordinarily busy lately. Also, last week, I got to finish up my divorce (well technically, I have to wait for the nisi period, but that’s nothing I have control over at this point). I don’t talk much about my personal life, and that’s about the most of it that you’ll get today. It was 16 months from when I filed until now, so 19 months when it is finalized and I can say I am ready to move on.

In other news, my father’s chickens are writing letters… it has definitely been a long winter…

Happy spring everyone. May your words make their way to the paper.

So you plan to do Camp NaNoWriMo? I wish I could. I might do my own in May since April isn’t good for me. Good luck!

April is going to be brutal – but I’m confident about it. Hoping to finish this editing task first though.
