Renewed Focus

magnifying glass

As expected, with a commitment to make good on a goal, I was able to turn around and make some good progress on Jacoby Figurine tonight. I spent last night rereading the final chapter and found it had much more good to it than bad. While I didn’t like how quickly it ended, I think I can be happy with most of the content if I am able to explain a little more of the specifics and get some tweaking in there as well.

All in all, that helped me turn out about a quarter of the rewrite tonight. I expect tomorrow will end up having a little less as I try to incorporate some of the other ideas I want to work in, but the point is I know where I am going, so I just need to get there. For that matter, I might even write more tonight because I was on such a roll earlier.

In case anyone wants to see some smaller samples of writing, I’m going to be posting anything I write as a one-off for a prompt over on my Snippets page. I did one of Today’s Author’s micro-prompts (via Facebook) yesterday and figured I would post it here so it had a convenient place for it. Once I find it, I’ll post the prompt I did back in the beginning of December as well (though that one is longer – not sure how well it will post without being on its own page).

It’s so nice to know where you’re going. Good job!

I agree. I’m looking forward to getting this project finished and getting onto some more writing this year yet.
