Day 17d: Goal 1667, Actual 3136

I am tired.

12 hours of writing throughout the day amounted to my largest single day total in my history of tracking that number (about 2 years). I broke 10,000 words today. That’s 20% of my NaNo. In one day.

And I am tired.

In the final session of the night, I was able to get some good production outside of the word wars and did well to succeed in both of the word wars in addition. So on a day where I wanted to meet the equivalent of 4 days worth of writing, I managed to push myself and get 6 days done.

I’m in what I would definitely call the home stretch at this point. With 34,469 total, I just need to make sure I don’t close the novel too soon and really pace myself so that I don’t have 10,000 in the last couple of days.

Congratulations to the other WriMos who were here throughout the day, from the ones who only stayed for one or two of the legs to the ones who completed all 4. This was a great time overall. I look forward to doing this again next year too.

Thanks! It was a very long day and only possible due to a great deal of support from the other WriMos in the area. We had a great crowd going from location to location and I hope next year’s All-day write-in will be even more popular.
